We were in the area to attend a wedding. We were unsure of what to expect here having spent a night at a crummy, run down hotel in Emporia, VA. Unless booking an expensive high end hotel, it has become increasingly difficult to trust the sparkly online photos for mid range facilities. Reviews are subjective and you almost have to throw caution to the wind when booking. Upon arrival at the Beaumont we were pleasantly surprised upon entering. The clerk was friendly and helpful, the lobby area, ground floor hallways/carpeting and our room were updated, clean and comfortable.

First time using the Hotel. The staff was friendly. The hotel lobby was pleasant and appeared clean. The carpet in the room needed to be cleaned and the air conditioner did not work well. The bathroom and bedding were nice and clean and comfortable. The guests were quiet and i had no issues sleeping becaue of noise. The stay was pleasant and worth the value. I would use the hotel again.
